On-Site Tours

Individuals and Small Groups of 1-9 People:

  • Self-Guided Tours: Free of charge. Available Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and Saturdays 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • Docent-Led Tours: Free of charge, though subject to docent availability. When docents are available, 45-minute tours are given on the hour and half-hour, Monday - Friday 10:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. and Saturdays 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Groups of 10 or More:

  • Self-Guided Tours: Free of charge. Available Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and Saturdays 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Advanced notice for large self-guided groups is appreciated. Contact museum@dar.org.
  • Docent-Led Tours: $5 per person; maximum 40 people. Reservations must be made at least 1 month in advance. Docent-led tours of the period rooms are available Monday - Friday, 10:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. For reservations, please contact museum@dar.org or call 202-879-3241.
  • Quilt Tours: $30 per person; groups of 10-40 people. Subject to staff availability; reservations must be made at least 1 month in advance. Get up close and personal with 8-10 quilts from c.1780-1900! Tour lasts 1 hour. For reservations, please contact museum@dar.org or call 202-879-3241.
