Public Relations Team Honored With More Awards
WASHINGTON, D.C. The Daughters of the American Revolution received two Awards of Distinction and one Honorable Mention in the 2004 Print Media Competition of The Communicator Awards. The Awards of Distinction were given to the DAR Media Kit in the Media Kit/Marketing/Promotion Category and to the DAR Private Events Brochure in the Brochure/Business to Consumer Category. The DAR Public Web Site was awarded Honorable Mention in the Web Site Redesign Category.
The Communicator Awards is an international awards competition that recognizes outstanding work in the communications field. Entries are judged by industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry. There were 3,743 entries from throughout the United States and several foreign countries in The Communicator Awards 2004 Print Media competition.
The Award of Distinction is awarded for projects that exceed industry standards in communicating a message or idea. Approximately 18 percent of the entries won this award. Honorable Mention certificates are granted to those entries that meet the high standards of the industry. Approximately 10 percent were Honorable Mention winners.
