Historical Significance:

Jane came to Savannah in 1768 with her husband. He died in 1772 and Jane supported efforts of the Revolutionaries and hosted meetings of Savannah's Liberty Boys including her son, Henry Cuyler. She was almost arrested for doing this, but fled Savannah in 1781.
