Historical Significance:
The Minnie Louise Failing Museum is located at the Col. George Croghan DAR Chapter House. The Museum was the Family Home of William E. Haynes, built in 1867 and has served as a chapter home to the DAR from its founding in 1900.
William E. Haynes was the Lieutenant Colonel of the 10th Ohio Cavalry. He was appointed by President Andrew Johnson to be Collector of the IRS for the 9th Dist. of Ohio, President and Manager of the Fremont Savings Bank, and President of the Board of Trustees for the Birchard Library.
