Acknowledgements: Deep River Chapter, NSDAR, has cemetery clean-up days, installed a Patriot grave marker, have held a Wreaths Across America ceremony. The two descendant members installed a fence, professionally repaired a tombstone, remove trees, weed/rake.

Two Revolutionary War patriots are buried in this (primarily) family cemetery. Two Deep River Chapter, NSDAR, members are descended from John Willcox. The Deep River Chapter, NSDAR, installed a patriot grave marker in 2025 for John Montgomery. The Willcox family owned and operated an ironworks along the Deep River near the old house during the Revolutionary War. (Neither the ironworks nor house remain and may be buried under US 421.)

Funded By:
Willcox family descendants fund the cemetery upkeep and provide or arrange for maintenance work to be done. They maintain their funds with the Deep River Chapter, NSDAR, for the purpose of cemetery and marker upkeep and repair. A male descendant owns the property. Two descendants are chapter members. They repair tombstones, weed, remove dead trees, and have installed a fence.
