In honor of Margaret Corbin, a ceremony to rededicate her valor will take place at West Point on May 1, 2018. Nearly 250 years after the Battle of Fort Washington, Margaret Corbin’s bravery and legacy as one of the first women to serve in combat in the defense of our nation continues to transcend and inspire women in military service today.

Entrance to West Point is the Thayer Gate in Highland Falls. There are new security procedures in place to enter the post (https://www.usma.edu/Visiting/SitePages/Home.aspx). If you do not have military identification, you MUST go to the Visitor Security Center in Highland Falls to be issued an entry pass. Please allow 30 minutes for this process. Be sure to have a photo ID or driver’s license to show at the Security Center and gate. At the gate, you may ask the Security Guard for directions to the Old Cadet Chapel.
