DAR Headquarters will be closed from March 16 to March 20. We will reopen on March 21.

When preparing for your trip to DAR Headquarters, please remember to plan ahead. Scheduling your visit as far in advance as possible allows us to reserve the day you choose or to notify you of conflicts. On occasion, major events or security concerns in the nation's capital can lead to street closings and worse-than-normal traffic congestion. Stay updated on weather conditions and the general condition of the city to help eliminate any inconveniences for your group. In the event of inclement weather we follow the Federal Government. Also DAR Headquarters including the Library and the Museum are closed on all Federal Holidays (and all Federal Holidays Observed).

All visitors to NSDAR Headquarters are required to wear a DAR Visitor's badge. Visitors will also be subject to security screenings.

DAR Headquarters is one of the largest buildings of its kind owned and maintained exclusively by women. Please enjoy your group's visit to our beautiful buildings, and take the time to explore our many collections.
