Historical Significance:

This is the home of Governor Jonathon Trumbull, Connecticut's patriot governor and the only colonial governor to support the American Revolution and the birthplace of John Trumbull, America's patriot artist. The building is architecturally notable as Connecticut's only central house with a central hall.
