Please feel free to experiment with our Life Stage Gift Planner. This helpful tool can guide you through financial and philanthropic strategies and solutions that might be appropriate for you. Recognition in the DAR Founders Club is a meaningful way to honor the past and invest in the future of our beloved organization. Donors who make gifts from their estates are committed and engaged in their DAR philanthropy and recognize the importance of supporting DAR today, tomorrow, and for years to come.

How to Qualify for the Founders Club

Any individual who includes DAR in their estate plan with a gift that meets the Founders Club criteria may be recognized in the DAR Founders Club. To qualify for this recognition, your gift must meet the following three requirements:

  • Your gift must meet or exceed $5,000. This threshold can be achieved by listing a dollar amount or an equivalent percentage of your estate.
  • Secondly, your estate gift must come to DAR directly upon your passing. Conditional gifts, although gratefully accepted and appreciated, do not qualify for Founders Club recognition.
  • Finally, tell us about your gift! You must submit documentation of your planned gift to the Development Office so that there is a record of your intention to give after your lifetime. This will ensure that DAR is aware of any restrictions placed on your gift so that DAR can properly honor your wishes.
